The Frog is the latest thriller drama starring Go Min-si (Sweet Home). In the drama, she plays a mysterious female character who changes the life of Kim Yoon-seok (Escape from Mogadishu). This drama tells the story of ordinary people whose peaceful lives are disrupted by the arrival of a mysterious guest in the middle of summer. During the summer, Jeon Young-ha (Kim Yoon-seok) runs a holiday cottage-cum-retirement house deep in the forest. His peaceful life is shaken by the sudden appearance of a mysterious woman named Yoo Seong-a (Go Min-si) In the early 2000s, Koo Sang-jun (Yoon Kye-sang) managed a holiday cottage, just like Jeon Young-ha. Sang-jun and his family live in that holiday cottage. Their business looks promising and even successful over time. 

But one summer, he received a visitor who happened to change his life. The arrival of the guest was followed by things that made Sang-jun lose everything at the holiday cottage. At that time, Yoon Bo-min (Lee Jung-eun) worked as a police officer at the nearest police station to the holiday cottage and helped handle the situation that occurred at Sang-jun's holiday cottage. 20 years later, Yoon Bo-min is transferred to the same police station where he worked before and he starts working there as the police chief. A similar situation occurred again and is now experienced by Jeon Young-ha. He meets Seong-a and crazy, abnormal events tend to occur at her holiday cottage. Yoon Bo-min stepped in again and enjoyed solving various things, such as starting to observe Jeon Young-ja carefully.

The drama will also star Park Chan-yeol or EXO's Chanyeol, who in the trailer appears in a scene holding a sniper rifle with a smile on his face. He plays the character Koo Gi-ho.
Likewise with Roh Yoon-seo (Crash Course in Romance) who becomes a character named Jeon Ui-seon. There is also Kim Sung-young as Lee Sung-ran to Jang Seung-jo (Death's Game, Snowdrop) as Ha Jae-sik. The Frog is the latest drama by director Mo Wan-il after attracting world attention through The World of the Married Couple in 2020.
