Set in the Indonesian independence struggle in 1946, PERANG KOTA will take the audience through the story of a war hero and elementary school teacher named Isa, who faces problems in his domestic life. Isa is faced with a personal dilemma in the midst of a great struggle for the country. Isa is given the important task of leading a mission to assassinate Dutch colonial officials as part of efforts to maintain Indonesian independence. 

This mission tested Jesus' courage and commitment to the nation's struggle. However, behind it all, Isa's close friend, Hazil, is secretly trying to win the heart of Isa's wife, Fatimah. The inner conflict that develops between the main characters adds tension to the PERANG KOTA storyline, which depicts battles on the battlefield as well as in their personal lives. PERANG KOTA is a film project produced by Cinesurya in collaboration with Starvision and Kaninga Pictures, which collaborates with a number of well-known actors. 

This film features several main players, including Chicco Jerikho as Isa, Ariel Tatum as Fatimah, Jerome Kurnia as Hazil, and Imelda Therinne. Although the exact schedule has not been announced, Cinesurya confirmed that PERANG KOTA will soon be shown in cinemas in 2025. Indonesian film fans certainly can't wait to watch this moving story of struggle. In other good news, PERANG KOTA will also be screened at the prestigious 54th edition of the Rotterdam International Film Festival. This is a major achievement for Indonesian films, increasing the audience's enthusiasm for waiting for its release.
