Director Anggy Umbara has released another horror film entitled Kromoleo. This film explores horror stories from urban legends in Magelang, Central Java which were popular in the 1980s and 1990s.
Kromoleo is the name given to a group of ghosts carrying corpse coffins and appeared in Majenang Village, Central Java in 1994. Anggy Umbara stated that Indonesia has many interesting urban legends which could actually be adapted into films. Apart from telling stories about groups of ghosts carrying coffins Corpse, the film Kromoleo also inserts significant social issues related to history.

“Kromoleo raised a very important social issue, we must not forget history. "There are too many human rights violations and dark history in our history," said Anggy Umbara.
In this film, Anggy Umbara presents something different by using unusual shooting techniques. Without using a tripod, all scenes were recorded entirely with a hand-held camera. This approach creates a more personal and immersive visual experience, as if the audience is in the middle of the action, making the film even more gripping and immersive.

"This film is very different from my other works, there is nothing commercial here, everything is rough, everything is handheld. The energy is really different," explained Anggy Umbara. The Kromoleo film presents a series of well-known actors and actresses such as Safira Ratu Sofya, Tio Pakusadewo, Cornelio Sunny, Abun Sungkar, Aline Fauziah, Rukman Rosadi, Totos Rasiti, Vonny Anggraini, and Dayu Wijanto.
